Ninjala Celebrates 4 Million Downloads With Free Jala And Wraps Up Ippon Matsuri Event Today

GungHo Online Entertainment has announced another huge milestone for its free-to-play action title Ninjala. The game has now surpassed over four million downloads across the world.

The developer is celebrating the milestone with free in-game Jala. Distribution of the reward will continue until October 28, so players need to log-in before time runs out.

The game has quickly surpassed millions of downloads after it launched. The game was hit with a small COVID-19 delay but was then released as an exclusive on the Nintendo Switch. After its launch, the game surpassed one million downloads within 16 hours. Around two weeks later, the game surpassed three million downloads worldwide.

The developer has continued to gift Jala to everyone as thanks for helping reach each download milestone. The last celebration also included a compensation reward of 10 Ippon Gum (Flame) weapon skins in part to server access errors.

Ninjala is a ninja and gum themed online action game where players fight in Battle Royale-style matches against up to eight players. Whoever earns the most points wins the match. Players can use Ninja-Gum to use bubbles to launch at enemies, craft weapons, and dash quickly across stages.

Ninjala also has a co-op mode so players can join in 4-on-4 team battles. Teams strategize and fight together to earn enough points to win the match.

Ninjala’s customization options are also appealing to players. Player’s weapons change in appearance depending on what Ninja-Gum is chosen. Avatars have customization options featuring several mix-and-match items to create personalized outfits to stand out in battle.

The developer also has been hard at work resolving issues reported by the Ninjala community. The last patch allowed worldwide matching since previously players were locked to region-specific servers in North and Central America, Europe, Asia/Oceania, and Japan. The ranking boards were also updated for the new change.

The update also included improving player experience through UI/UX and continuing to polish game balance. More updates are planned as the game continues to celebrate new player milestones.

Ninjala is on its last day of the first Ippon Matsuri event. Everyone earns rewards by joining battles. Depending on the number of Ippon achieved, everyone receives a portion of Bronze, Silver, or Gold Medals. The final push is for the remaining goal of 10 million Ippon to receive 20 Gold Medals.

Ninjala is a free-to-play Nintendo Switch exclusive available now.
