Before Keeping Up With The Kardashians was officially canceled by E!, members of the Kar-Jenner clan were divided on whether it should continue or not. Page Six claims there were two camps regarding the future of the reality series.
The source claims that Scott and Khloe want to see the show go on because they like the easy money. Sources also say that some members of the family need the cash more than others, with Kylie, Kendall, Kim, and Kanye, obviously not being one of them.
Sources claim Kylie, Kendall, and Kim realized it was time for the show to be canceled because they have more lucrative endeavors elsewhere. Fans of the family know Kylie just sold her company, Kylie Cosmetics, for almost a billion dollars.
Kim also has her successful makeup and beauty line which sells millions per year. Kanye reportedly wanted to see his wife leave the series as well so she can focus on other more important things in her career.
As most know, Khloe and Scott’s clothing lines, Good American and Talentless, are very small companies in comparison to KKW, Kylie Cosmetics, and Kanye’s Yeezy brand. Put simply, Scott and Khloe were eager to continue with the show because of this financial fact.
It’s not clear whether Rob Kardashian wanted to end the show prematurely, and the state of his sock company isn’t certain either.
More importantly, the family reportedly has started to realize that cable TV programming is in serious trouble as streaming platforms increase in popularity. During the recent financial and global crisis, it’s clear that some of the bigger tech companies are better adapted to trying times.
An insider claimed the pandemic was one of the key reasons why the family chose to end it. “People want to move on,” the source added, noting how the budget has decreased as well. It’s also been reported that the Kar-Jenner clan might get a streaming deal sometime soon.
